DIRECTIONS:

To Loney Meadows Nature Trail

Topographic Map: Graniteville. Directions: follow road from (E) toward Lindsey Lake, but at 1.5 miles turn left (north) at signed intersection. Continue 1.2 miles on very rough, primitive road. Definitely, totally unsuitable for trailers or RVs. Sedans and low-clearance vehicles will make it if you’re good at creeping around rocks in the road. But I wouldn’t drive a new sedan into the Trailhead.

ACTIVITIES:

Equestrian Trail Riding (Rating: Best)

Difficulty: Moderate

The Interpretive Loop itself has little attraction but the connecting trail to Bull Pen Lake and Rock Lakes is great.

Hiking: Dayhikes (Rating: Best)

Difficulty: Easy Time: 1 hour

Great nature loop. Nice stroll and nice place to take kids, just to short to be thought of as a "hike." Add Bull Pen or Rock Lakes and you have one of the best hikes.

Mountain Biking (Rating: Good)

Difficulty: Difficult

The Interpretive Loop itself is not recommended but continuing above Bull Pen Lake and tieing into the Lindsey Lake Trail to Lower Rock Lake is difficult but a good opiton.
