Fuel Break Trail


   

DESCRIPTION:

No horses. Connects Foresthill Road east of the high bridge to Clementine Access Road. The eastern end is used most often as a portion of the Lake Clementine Loop utilizing the Culvert Trail. The trail serves as a segment of a favorite mountain biking loop. See Lake Clementine Trail.

DIRECTIONS:

To Fuel Break Trail

Topographic map: Auburn. Directions from the lower (west) end: Follow Foresthill Road shortly past (east) of the Foresthill Bridge. Parking area is on the left (north) side of the road. Directions from upper (east) end: Turn left at signed Lake Clementine Access Road, Drive 3.4 miles east of Auburn turn left (north) at sign. Then follow 0.5 mile west of the Foresthill Road intersection. Parking is available in a wide turnout on left side (south) of the Lake Clementine Access Road.

This is a connecting segment from the Clementine Creek Road to the Clulvert Trail as part of the Lake Clementine Trail-Lower Lake Clementine Road-Fule Break Trail-Culvert Trail-Confluence Trail which makes a grand loop.

Difficulty: Moderate Time: ¾ hour down, 1¼ hours up
