DESCRIPTION:

Bear Lakes are three scenic, popular (too much at times) swimming and fishing lakes. Little and Big Bears planted to rainbow and Kamloop Junction variety (2000). After Big Bear, trail accesses Little Bear and Cub and skirts by Long Lake.

To Bear Lakes Loop Trail

Topographic Map: Gold Lake. Follow signs from Long Lake Trailhead. Big Bear Lake also easily accessed from Gold Lakes Lodge trailhead by following connecting trail 0.7 mile (moderate difficulty).


ACTIVITIES:

Equestrian Trail Riding (Rating: Best)

Difficulty: Moderate Time: This can be done as a short trip or combined for all day.

The Gold Lake Stables are nearby and horse trailer parking is available at the trailhead parking near the Lakes Basin Campground.

Hiking - Dayhikes (Rating: Best)

Difficulty: Moderate Time: 1 hour
