Palen Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:
Small reservoir managed by the California Department of Fish and Game Department as part of the Antelope Wildlife Area.
There are no developments or camping opportunities. Too small for boating. Located in high sagebrush meadow above Sierra Valley.
DIRECTIONS:
To Palen Reservoir
Located on Antelope Road off Highway 49 between Sierraville and Loyalton. From Sierraville follow Highway 49 east for about 8 miles. At the signed intersection turn right (south) onto the gravel road. The small lake sits to the left of the road about 2 miles south of the highway.

Boating Lakes & Reservoirs (Rating: Poor)
Too small for anything but floatables for fishing. And it's on private land.
