DIRECTIONS:

To White Rock Lake

Travel 17 miles north of Truckee on Highway 80 towards Sierraville. Turn left (west) on to the Jackson Lake Road #07 at Little Truckee Summit. Follow the paved road for 11 miles to the Meadow Lake Road #86 intersection (about 1 mile past Webber Lake). Turn left and follow this gravel road for about 5.5 miles to the top of the Sierra Crest. You'll see the Pacific Crest Trail crossing sign just before reaching he saddle at the top. Turn left at the sign to White Rock Lake. Follow this primitive road over 4 miles to the lake. Campground sits to the right as you approach the lake.

Trail access is via the "PCT-07 I-80 Donner Summit to Meadow Lake Road #86" or the Mount Lola Trail. Neither option are conducive to travelling to the lake; so most people drive. See Donner Summit or the East Slope Maps.
