This lake sits astride a small ridge above French Lake in some of the most rugged and remote area within the Grouse Non-Motorized Area.

Access can be achieved via a rough climb up Canyon Creek above (east)Faucherie Lake. I’d do that route if I were camping at Faucherie. It’s a longer drive that requires 4-wheel drive, but a less demanding hike cross-country to travel in to French Lake and then climb the ridge to Weil Lake.
