Rucker contains a special strain of rainbow called redband trout that are doing well in the warmer shallow lake waters. The lake has a weedy shoreline, so boats and floats offer the best fishing. Car-top launch with only a fairly short distance carry can be achieved from a narrow primitive road. Private property lies on both the lower and upper ends of the lake.
