Seven unimproved camping sites are often popular on summer weekends due to their location on the largest of the half-dozen Lindsey Lakes. To drive the last 0.25 mile to get above the dam and to the campground, the road is a steep climb. In all but the best of road conditions, it is often too rough for trailers/RVs or non-4WDs. Optional trailhead parking and primitive camping is allowed below the dam.
