DIRECTIONS:

To Castle Valley Undeveloped Campsites

Exit I-80 at the Castle Peak/Boreal Ridge exit (A). Drive up the road to the northeast (opposite side of I-80 from the Boreal Ski Area parking lot). The paved section on the road leading into Castle Valley quickly turns to dirt. Most people park at the green metal gate as they enter the valley and use the primitive road as a trail. The road continues through the valley toward the northwest and Castle Pass. 4WDs and high clearance vehicles can drive the road until it ends just below the pass. The camping sites are on the right within a quarter mile of the gate and just before the meadow.
